I remember someone questioning once on Reddit why women were one of the equity classes because they are equal now. I pointed out that the median age for female executives was older than their male counterparts by at least 15 years in most cases. Why? Because women generally had to focus on raising their kids first before they could focus on their careers. We are not equal. We also get to deal with our worth being equated with our attractiveness regardless of our achievements. Now we have the added layer of having political figures thinking they can weigh in on our biological clocks as if our ability to procreate is our defining characteristic. I feel like we are sliding backwards.

I think we are definitely sliding backward...and ew, the collective shudder we felt when PP mentioned our biological clocks (several times!!)
You'd never hear of Freddy Mercury ridiculed because of his teeth. His art precedes his appearance. This is never the case if you are a woman.
